If I could have any super power it would be the ability to read people's minds. I would never use it to cheat on tests or any inappropriate manner.  Perhaps I would use it to see what other people are thinking or how they really feel. I would use it to help others and myself.  Life would be easier knowing what people are thinking. People don't always say what they really mean or share their thoughts. The first people I would use my power on is my brothers to understand them more. Also, to learn more of their thoughts and feelings. I would then probably use it on one of my dogs, just for the fun of it. I sometimes wonder what they would say if they could talk. It would be funny to see what they were thinking about. I would try to limit myself to using my power twice a month to make sure I wouldn't get carried away. I wouldn't want to be too nosy. Next month I would use it on a baby to see what goes on in there little heads. Do babies only think about eating and sleeping? I know what I would do if I had a super power. What would you do?

Today I went to my brothers birthday party. He had a circus party and it was so much fun! There were silks, juggling spinning plates, trampolines, and flower sticks. First I went to the trampolines. We learned how to do bumb-drops, strattle jumps, and a ``dog`` jump. My favourite jump was the strattle jump. You had to try to jump really high and do the middle splits in the air. My favourite part was the silks. We learned how to do 3 things. First we learned how to do a square pose. You had to stand on it then push your leg on the right/left silk then slide your other leg up then you are in the square pose. The next thing was a cocoon we spread out the left silk so that we could lean our backs on it. Then you spread out the other silk and out your feet in it and slide down so you are sitting. It is very comfortable and I wish I had silks at home they are awesome! The last pose is called the back strattle. You wear the silks like your backpack straps and then you flip over backwards. You wrap your legs around the silks with spread out legs. I had so much fun and I hope I can do it again sometime!

Looking for a Halloween scare? Go to Potters House of Horrors, but you better beware...
Earlier this evening my friends and I went to the Potters Haunted House. Right away I screamed because as my mom was buying the tickets and we were talking  my friends said to turn around. I thought that they were just saying to look at something cool but instead there was this really creepy guy that was looking down at me! He was so close to me I screamed and jumped away what a great start to the night!
As we entered the line there was a bride in a shredded dress with blood and scars all over her face. She came up to us and wouldn't let us pass she kept staring at us until we finally ran FRWAKY!!!! When we got into the line there was this really creepy guy in a top-hat and he was walking though the line and staring people in the eyes he walked past us several times he was so scary. When its finally our time to enter there is nothing and its all black, each room has a different theme (clowns, toys, aliens, butchers, snow room etc.) Some of the scariest rooms were the toys clowns and this one room that the lights went on and off and it was like a maze kind of hard to find your way out... In the alien room there some shots of wind (gun shots) that made us scream so loud because we weren't expecting it at all. In one room there were hanging chopped off heads! We had to duck under them but one of them had long hair and was on my face ew. The last room was an allusion. you were walking on a platform but there were all lights for the walls so it looked like you were spinning and felt like you were going to fall I ended up running because I felt so dizzy!!! If you haven't been to the house of horrors I definitely think that you should try it! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

"It's never too late to be what you might of been." - George Elliot

This quote means to me that, it doesn't matter if you make a mistake or take the wrong path, because you can always fix it. The person is just saying that you can be anything, do anything , and fix anything. Your life is in your hands so take it as far as you can. We are reading The One And Only Ivan in class. We had a small discussion about why we think the author put the quote in the book.  I think that the author put  this quote at the beginning of the book because it is how Ivan is going to live. Ivan didn't want his life to be the way it is. He didn't ask to be caged and a part of some cheap circus act. He wanted a family to protect but he had never been given that chance to be a real gorilla. I think that after the baby elephant arrives he will escape with her to go to the wild. He will end up being everything he could have been. The quote will kind of represent him. In the end the quote means, it's never too late to follow your dreams and reach your goals. Your life is what you make of it and it's never too late for you to succeed.

A couple days ago I woke up and felt a mixture of feelings, because we were going to the grouse grind. It was kind of nerve racking waiting the time it took to get to the grind. I didn't really no what to expect it wasn't my first time but 2 years ago I was very negative and let my thoughts get the best of me. When we got to the mountain I was feeling a bit nervous but excited at the same time. I started to hike up the mountain but with-in the first 50 steps my muscles were so sore. (Here is a tip don't take a really hard dance class before climbing a mountain with almost 3000 stairs!!!) The first quarter was the worst because I was stopping to often so my body felt like stopping for good. I decided to keep going and stop every 30 stairs. My goal time was 1:50 (one hour fifty minutes). Finally I saw the quarter mark and I was so relieved. I tried to be optimistic the whole time by reminding myself that I already came a quarter or half way but sometimes it was hard. I was walking alone until the half way mark where I caught up with someone and we walked the rest of the way up the mountain. I found that walking with someone helps a lot because then you are focused on your conversation and not how tired you are. When I got to the half way sign I was really happy that I was close to being done. For the rest of the way up nothing really cool happened except that when I was at the 3 quarter spot the sun rays were shining through the trees and it looked really pretty. Around the same spot when you looked up you couldn't see anything but fog because we were so high up. When I finally got to the top of the mountain I was so proud and thrilled that I was done and that I beat my goal by 30 seconds! I know that's not much but I'm glad I didn't go over. I said to one of the teachers that my legs felt like rubber bands that are about to break. That was exactly what my muscles felt like! I actually had fun and hope that we go again at the end of the year!

Today my class did a team building exercise. What we did was, we had to build a structure out of 20 or less spaghetti noodle, some string, masking tape, and you had to put a marshmallow on top. All in a 18 minute time frame. It was very interesting to see how every ones noodle towers turned out. It ended up that only 2 groups creations were standing by the end. My group was definitely not one of them! I think that overall not many of the teams had very good teamwork because right of the bat everyone  was to rushed to really think the project through. I had tons of of fun doing this activity! What I found interesting was that this activity has been done by kindergartens to  people in business, and it turned out the the kindergartens were most successful.
